The Nintendo DSI is here !
Since its emergence in 2004, has sold over 100 million units of Nintendo DS console.

Following the improvement of product that was the DS Lite, now aims to make the new version of the console Nintendo DSI full portable entertainment center. The creativity has driven the recent Nintendo consoles and the DSI is no exception. However, its multimedia capabilities are still limited when compared with those of its competitor Sony PSP.
What Nintendo DSI differs from the previous version?

Improvements in image and sound
The new version of the screens are larger, but of similar quality to the above.
The Nintendo DS Lite have 4 presets of brightness, Nintendo DSI adds fifth selection that allows the screen is brighter but at the cost of reduced battery life.
One difficulty is the common use in environments where there is plenty of light. If the environment is too bright, suffers the sharpness of the screen.
The speakers have been redesigned, which has significantly increased the sound quality. This is good news, because the very poor sound quality was one of the weaknesses of earlier versions of this console.
A more complete software
The main innovations of the Nintendo DSI is the protagonist software. Users will have a new operating system that includes a menu that allows access to new possibilities: the camera and editing images, conceived as a form of social entertainment, the integrated audio player or services online shop DSI based on the same philosophy that the Wii shop for users of the Wii.
Is it worth switching console for these new features? For most users the answer is probably No. The cameras do not go from being added toys primarily designed to satisfy the Japanese public.
Currently, many adolescents have sophisticated phones that can take pictures and play audio better than the Nintendo DSI. So it’s easy to imagine that, after the novelty of these additional console quickly fall into oblivion.
Moreover, the ability to connect in an online service can enhance the value of the games designed on this and create new opportunities for developers and Nintendo software.

- The battery has a shorter duration.
- The camera quality is pretty mediocre.
- It is not compatible with Game Boy Advance games.
